CNC Programming:
Read technical drawings and set up the VMC machine. Use computer software SOLIDWORKS to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality. Consider tools required to cut particular materials. Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of parts.Nesting of parts for laser cut. |
Operate VMC machine:
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Remove burr from parts manufactured. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionalityTroubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arisePerform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening. Maintain inventory of tools, fixtures, and accessories in the machine shop and make entries in the ERP system |
